I played the tin whistle with St Wilfrid’s Ceilidh band winning the Under 12 Fleadth Cheoil in 1982.
I played the drums with St Wilfrid’s Ceilidh band winning the Under 12 Fleadth Cheoil in 1983.
This is the only time a branch has won the All Ireland Under 12 in consecutive years.
Television appearances included BBC2 and Channel 4.
We performed live on BBC Radio Manchester and Piccadilly Radio in Manchester.
I am included in the book “The History of the Irish in Manchester” written by Alan Keegan.
Playing in front of three thousand people at The Carousel, which later became The International, and drumming to a capacity crowd at The Free Trade Hall are two of my favourite moments.
I have performed as a Djembe player in Cutting It and as the drummer in the group that were used in the story of Funland on BBC 3.

I worked as part of a team, to practice, perform, and assisted in finding creative ways to get noticed such as developing fliers and distributing them in optimum locations. We toured Britain and played in Holland due to having an eye catching website which was a joint effort to produce. We released a single which sold a thousand copies.
